What's new

Every update, in one place.

Version 1.6Your game, on every device

Your medals, bests and streak now follow you between your iPhones and iPads, through your own iCloud. Nothing to sign up for.

  • Watch any hole again: tap a score on a card and the ball rolls just as it did, every putt. Each putt is aimed first, dots and all, the windmills keep turning, and long waits between putts are skipped.
  • Favorites first: touch and hold a ball on Your Ball to move it.
  • Tailwind Jump: rebuilt, with a narrower gorge and the ramp right at its edge, and a wider range of putts that clear it and stay on.
Version 1.5Six new courses for fall

Fresh greens for fall. Greens now has 198 holes on twenty-two courses.

New courses: three free fall Classics, Maple Grove, Orchard Hill and Harvest Farm (falling leaves, an apple orchard and a corn maze), and three new Theme Courses in the full game, Jungle Temple, Bowling Alley and Seaside Cliffs (swinging logs, bowling pins and a windy coast).

  • New on the course: wind that bends your roll, ramps that send the ball flying, and pins to knock down.
  • A new ball to earn: Jade, for finishing 22 different courses.
  • The Daily Three has its own place in Stats: this week's scores, your streak, your best round all time and your average for the month. Tap the best round for its card, or the month's average for every card behind it.
  • Perfect Daily: ace all three holes of a Daily Three for a new achievement.
  • Tap an achievement in Stats to see when you earned it. Each one now wears its own Game Center badge.
  • Updated art for the medals, and every ball now rolls as it travels.
  • A ball that reaches 500 holes gets its own celebration.
  • Tap any hole on a course's card in Play a Round to practice it.
  • A card shows what's new when you update, and Settings > What's New in Greens brings it back any time.
Version 1.4iPhone Duo refinements, eight new achievements and saved scorecards

iPhone Duo refinements, eight new achievements, saved scorecards and bug fixes.

  • iPhone Duo: aiming controls fine-tuned and fixed for every pose.
  • iPhone Duo: holes sized and centered better on each screen, with the buttons out of the way. In laptop pose, play and buttons sit on the lower screen.
  • iPad: holes resized to fit better.
  • New achievements for the dedicated: 50 and 200 rounds, 100 and 500 holes in one, 500 holes with one ball, one hole played 100 times, the Daily Three on thirty different days, and a putt off a windmill sail. Already past one? It's yours the next time you play.
  • Restart a round from the scorecard.
  • iPhone Duo closed, showing a best round on Meadow: the nine holes, played with Classic White, a total of 18 at six under par, and a Share scorecard buttonYour best rounds now keep their scorecards. Tap one in Stats to see every hole, the ball you used, and share it.
  • Share your scorecard at the end of any round.
  • Your first hole in one on each hole gets a bigger celebration.
  • A ball you've played 500 holes with wears a gold star.
  • The Daily Three now changes on Game Center's day, so everyone everywhere plays the same three holes and every score lands on the right board.
  • House Leaderboard: tap a player's score to see their full scorecard for that course or today's Daily Three.
  • Small fixes: "HOLE IN ONE" no longer gets cut off with the iPhone turned sideways, and buttons and the hole fit better in iPhone landscape.
Version 1.3Free to play

Greens is now free to play. The three Classic Courses and the Daily Three are free for everyone, and one purchase unlocks all thirteen Theme Courses.

  • Challenges: tap Play on a Game Center challenge and you go straight to its course.
  • The Gold ball has a touch of shine, and Pearl a soft glow.
  • Bug fixes for iPhone Duo.
Version 1.2Every hole can be aced, and two new balls

Every hole in Greens can now be aced. All 144 of them.

  • More than 20 holes retuned so a hole in one is always possible, from Polder's bank shot to the cannon on Rickety Docks.
  • Two new balls: Pearl, for 72 different aces, and Prism, the rainbow ball, for acing every hole.
  • Every ball keeps its own record: holes, aces, average and best round. Your stats show which ball aced each hole.
  • Practice: a pause button with your best and average on the hole.
  • Made for iPhone Duo: on the closed screen and in Split View, the clubhouse buttons move into the side bar.
  • Every course's tricks, from quicksand to portals, are explained the first time you meet them, then left to you.
  • The Glow ball really glows now, and some pars change: Riverbend is a par 2, and every par 4 but two on Space Station is now a par 3.
  • Penalty strokes in your stats now count quicksand and falls into open space, not just water.
  • Fresh new cards for pausing, resuming and switching players, and fixes, including a freeze when resuming a paused round.
Version 1.1Eight new courses, 72 new holes, and iPad

Greens now has 144 holes on sixteen courses, and it plays on iPad.

New courses: Village Green, Inferno, Dunes, Crystal Caverns, Castle, Pirate Cove, Toy Room and Space Station.

  • Play a Round: every course in one place, with the next one to play ready to go.
  • The Front and Back Nine are now Meadow and Lakeside.
  • Bigger holes in landscape.
  • Pausing mid-hole keeps your ball where it lies, so you pick up from your last shot.
  • Ten ball colors to earn, and race the ghosts of everyone who plays on your iPhone or iPad.

  • Challenge friends through Game Center on the Daily Three or any course, and jump straight into a course from the Games app.
  • Greens now plays on iPad, with a two-column clubhouse and the whole hole big on the screen.
  • A quick windmill intro when Greens opens.
  • Earn an achievement and it pops up right away, badge and all.
  • Your Stats folds into neat sections, so everything's one tap away.
Version 1.0The first release: 72 holes on eight courses

Classic mini golf for iPhone, with green felt, cream rails, a little red flag and a windmill.

Courses: the classic eighteen to start. The Front Nine teaches one idea per hole, and the Back Nine combines them and finishes at the windmill. Then six Theme Courses, each built around one idea: Frost Hollow (every hole on ice), Boardwalk (bumpers), Speedway (fast lanes), Tulip Fields (windmills), Lake Country (water) and Highlands (hills).

What's in it

  • Pull back, let go: drag anywhere on the course and pull back like a putter. Dots show the first stretch of the roll, off the rails and down the slopes. The farther you pull, the harder it goes.
  • A medal on every hole: bronze for par, silver for under par, gold for a hole in one. Your best on every hole is kept, and your medals open the Theme Courses.
  • The Daily Three: three holes, one try, the same for everyone. Keep your streak going and share your card.
  • Race your ghost: a faint ball replays your best run on every hole, so you can try to beat it to the cup.
  • Play at your pace: pause a round and pick it up later, or practice any hole you've opened as often as you like.
  • Six strokes and you pick up: the classic putt-putt rule, so one tough hole never spoils a round.
  • Game Center: leaderboards for every course and the Daily Three, and achievements from your first ace on up.
  • Made for iPhone Duo: unfold it and the whole hole fills the big screen. Close it and keep playing on the outer screen.
  • For everyone: VoiceOver can aim and putt, Reduce Motion is respected, and menus follow your text size. Your progress stays on your iPhone.
On the course

Simple, fun mini golf.

Pull back to aim, let go to putt — that's the whole lesson. Then bank it off a rail, ride a fast lane, time the windmill and play the wind. Easy to pick up, hard to put down.
