Greens: Mini-golf
Last updated November 1, 2026

Privacy policy

Greens is a miniature golf game for iPhone, made by Brian Rossen. This is its privacy policy.

The short version

Greens collects nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing you do in the game is sent to us.

What stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud

Greens keeps your game on your device, in the app's own storage:

  • Your best score and medal on each hole, and your best round on each course
  • The Daily Three you've played and your streak
  • Your best run on each hole, so its ghost can replay it
  • A round you've paused, so you can finish it later
  • Every round you finish: its card, your putts, when you played it and how long it took
  • Achievements earned, and settings such as sound, haptics and the aim guide

If you're signed in to iCloud, Greens also keeps your players and their game in your own iCloud (Apple's key-value storage), so your iPhones and iPads share it. That's your iCloud account, not ours: we can't see it. Without iCloud, it all stays on the device.

You can erase all of it from Settings → Reset progress in the app, on every device on your iCloud account. Deleting Greens removes what's on that device.

Game Center

Game Center is optional. If you're signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, Greens sends your scores and achievements to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center profile, the same as any game, so they can appear on leaderboards. That information is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Greens never sees your Apple ID. You can sign out of Game Center, or change who sees your profile, in the Settings app.

Sharing

If you share your Daily Three card, Greens hands a short piece of text to the iOS share sheet, and you choose where it goes. Greens doesn't send it anywhere itself.

Children

Greens doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. There's nothing to sign up for. The one purchase in the game, the Theme Courses, goes through the App Store, so Ask to Buy and Screen Time work as they do for any app.

This website

The Greens app collects nothing. This website (brianrossen.com, not the app) uses Microsoft Clarity to see which pages people visit, where they came from, and where they click and scroll, so I can tell what's working. Clarity sets cookies to do this and masks anything typed. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control aren't recorded. This privacy page doesn't load it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. A change that would collect anything would be said plainly here first.
